Our highly skilled trimmers can accomplish every type of seat repair. Premier performs warranty seat repairs for many high end new car dealerships such as BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. We provide the same quality workmanship for our retail customers as the workmanship demanded by our dealership customers.
Seat repairs break down into upholstery problems and mechanical problems. Upholstery problems generally are variations of torn, worn, soiled or damaged upholstery. If you have any of these, you can:
- Repair the damaged areas.
- Install a replacement factory upholstery cover.
- Replace one or several "panels" with the same or similar materials.
- Reupholster the seat completely in the same or similar materials.
- Recover the seat completely in a new material. We can use leather, vinyl or cloth. Or we can install a Leather Interior Conversion.
At Premier, the majority of the seat repairs we do involve partial replacement of leather or vinyl. Therefore, we've developed considerable knowledge in matching these materials by color and grain. Mercedes leather is different than BMW leather, Lexus leather and Jaguar leather. We maintain a large selection of leather and vinyl from different manufacturers. If we don't have it in stock, we usually can get it quickly from sources all over the U.S. usually with a day or two.
Our most common mechanical work is repair/replacement of seat frames, springs, motors, tracks, recliner mechanisms and drive cables. We order parts from auto dealerships or from a wide network of new and used parts sources.
Proper care of your seat upholstery can insure its full life and minimize the need for costly repairs. For advice on caring for your leather, vinyl, cloth or synthetic suede seats see these sections in our Convertible Top and Interior Care Guide.
